Sabrina oversees filing logistics, docket and deadline oversight, status reporting, and coordination across attorneys, clients, and foreign counsel. She manages client portfolios and serves as the primary point of contact between clients and the firm’s legal teams.
Her experience spans both large-firm and boutique practice. Sabrina has worked in intellectual property since 2014, beginning at Novak Druce as an intellectual property assistant, then spending six years at a national law firm as an IP specialist supporting patent and trademark prosecution for corporate and technology clients. She returned to Novak Druce Carroll in 2022. That background covers portfolios at every stage, from a company’s first application to established families with long histories and complicated provenance.
She approaches portfolio management as a business function rather than a clerical one, working to understand what a company is building and selling, then using that context to raise decisions early, while clients still have room to weigh cost against value. Her science and psychology training shows in her work: she reads technical files comfortably and handles time-sensitive matters in a way that keeps small issues from becoming large ones.
Sabrina holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Houston-Downtown, a B.A. in Psychology from The Ohio State University, and a Paralegal Certificate from the Center for Advanced Legal Studies. She is a patent agent candidate working toward USPTO registration, and she works with clients and inventors in both English and Spanish.
