Ryan C. Durham practices primarily patent prosecution with growing experience in reexamination. Mr. Durham has been registered with the Patent Office since April 2007. He has worked on new applications and prosecution for a major telecommunications corporation and a well-known multinational consumer electronics brand, as well as individual inventors and technology startups. Mr. Durham has written patent applications relating to numerous aspects of speech recognition and synthesis, including many wireless-based speech applications. Other subject matter includes video search engines, audio CAPTCHAs, high security encryption and obfuscation, gift card processing, bar codes, and various Internet-based technologies. In law school, Mr. Durham was President of the Creighton Law School Intellectual Property Law Society (IPLS) and Treasurer of the Student Bar Association. As IPLS President, Mr. Durham organized joint activities with the Business Law Society to foster understanding of IP's importance to business. Prior to law school, Mr. Durham owned and operated a software consulting company in that provided custom software solutions using tools such as C++, Perl, PHP, MySQL, and VB.net for small and medium businesses. Mr. Durham provided customer management and database applications, scheduling and appointment applications, messaging applications, etc. to clients.
