Patricia Kammerer’s practice focuses on patent litigation and patent prosecution matters in the life science and biotechnology fields. Her prosecution background includes interference, re-examination and reissue matters, as well as patent prosecution and oppositions in foreign countries. She has also handled trademark, trade secret and copyright issues and related licensing matters.
Dr. Kammerer’s litigation background includes cases for clients such as Monsanto Company, Hoechst-Celanese, Upjohn Company, the University of Texas and Stanford University. She is experienced in all aspects of trial preparation, discovery and expert witness testimony.
Dr. Kammerer has worked as a research and teaching assistant for the University of Texas and as a pharmacist at Seton Medical Center in Austin. Her work there included developing new lab experiments, analyzing drugs in biological media, training and supervising technicians, developing IV additive and hyperalimenation services, and data analysis and computer programming. She has experience with a wide range of products including pharmaceuticals, herbicides, genetic engineering processes, antimicrobials, polymers and catalysts.
