Michael S. Garrabrants’ practice concentrates on domestic and international patent prosecution, patent portfolio strategic planning, patent reexaminations, and patent litigation support. Mr. Garrabrants handles patent prosecution and related counseling for a wide range of technology including software and business methods, computer graphics, circuit design, computer and processor architecture, wired and wireless networking, security protocols, disk drive systems, and semiconductor technology.  Mr. Garrabrants also has extensive technology industry experience from both a business and a technological perspective, having worked as an engineer and in technical sales/marketing at Intel Corporation and as a programmer for Honeywell International.

            While in law school, Mr. Garrabrants served as an editor for the Santa Clara Computer and High Technology Law Journal and worked as a patent agent and a law clerk. Mr. Garrabrants received a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University, specializing primarily in semiconductor devices and associated processing thereof.
