Michael J. Dimino’s practice spans a
broad range of issues associated with intellectual property (IP) rights
including IP due diligence in support of mergers and acquisitions, technology
licensing including Open Source software issues, IP rights under federal
research and development contracts, patent preparation, prosecution, and
reexamination. Mr. Dimino has experience with a wide range of technologies
including cellular telephone networks, digital filters, homeland security,
electromechanical devices, bioinformatics, and broad array of software applications.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Dimino developed radio frequency surveillance systems for the U.S. Department of Defense from 1987 through 1997. During this period, his training and experience included computer systems engineering, software engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical power generation, radio frequency direction finding and communications. Among his duties during that period were drafting and monitoring federal research and development contracts.
