Jason W. Bryan plays a significant role in Novak Druce + Quigg’s chemical technologies patent prosecution practice, serving both national and international clientele. Mr. Bryan oversees the management of several patent portfolios for clients which are leaders in their respective fields, advising on both domestic and international filing strategies. Mr. Bryan also counsels and supervises acquisition of patent protection for key client technologies and flagship products. He also advises clients on patentability, patent infringement, unenforceability, and freedom to operate issues. Mr. Bryan has significant experience in the chemical arts including polymers, organic compounds, catalysts, distillation, processes, reactions, as well as biotechnology arts.
Mr. Bryan also provides support to Novak Druce’s leading reexamination practice advising on filing and prosecution of ex parte and inter partes reexamination and related advanced prosecution strategies. He also advises on specialized projects for use of reexamination and patent laws to advance business strategy. Mr. Bryan has experience in litigation including enforcing patent, trademark and trade dress rights before the Federal Courts on behalf of client interest.
Mr. Bryan earned his J.D. from Boston College Law School and his B.S. in Chemical Engineering, with distinction, from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He is admitted to the Bars in Massachusetts, New York, and the District of Columbia, and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
