Dr. Eduardo J. Quiñones focuses his practice on patent procurement in a variety of technologies including software, electrical, mechanical, and biomedical inventions. In particular, Dr. Quiñones assists clients in the procurement of patents directed towards digital and analog electronic circuits, electrical control and power systems, semiconductor design and processing, biomedical devices, robotic and prosthetic devices, communications hardware and software technologies, internet content distribution and internet commerce technologies, speech recognition technologies, and advanced image processing systems and methods.
Prior to his legal career, Dr. Quiñones worked at Lucent Technologies Bell Labs and at Agere Systems as a member of the technical staff in a variety of positions relating to manufacturing, R&D and product quality assurance for semiconductor products. Dr. Quiñones also worked at Dominion Semiconductor as a process engineer.Dr. Quiñones holds a J.D. from the University of Florida. He earned a Ph.D. and a M.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Quiñones, a National Science Foundation Fellow, was also named a Chancellor’s Scholar while at Vanderbilt University, where he earned undergraduate degrees in both computer science and electrical engineering.
