Novak Druce + Quigg LLP Speaks on Patent Reexaminations as a Litigation Strategy at the Houston Intellectual Property Law Association Monthly Meeting

Yesterday, Novak Druce + Quigg LLP Executive Partner Tracy W. Druce spoke on patent reexaminations as a litigation strategy at the Houston Intellectual Property Law Association (HIPLA) monthly meeting in Houston.

Over 100 people attended the presentation, making it one of the highest attended HIPLA luncheons to date. During the presentation, Mr. Druce discussed trends in reexamination as well as the numerous impacts of reexamination on litigation including settlements, stays of litigation and intervening rights. Mr. Druce also provided an overview of advanced reexamination topics such as admissions, expert declarants and appeals.

Mr. Druce, a native Texan, earned a BS in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University, a MBA from Texas Tech University and a JD from Texas Tech University School of Law. He operates out of Novak Druce’s Houston headquarters.
