March 29, 2010

San Jose, CA: On Tuesday, Novak Druce + Quigg LLP CEO and Managing Partner Greg Novak and Senior Analyst Lissi Mojica spoke on patent reexaminations and their impact on litigation at the 6th Annual IP Counsel Forum in San Jose, CA. They presented along with Senior Attorney Jerry Gnuschke from Microsoft.

The presentation was a follow on to the highly successful Managing Intellectual Property web seminar “Patent Reexaminations as a Litigation Tool” held last month featuring Mr. Novak, Ms. Mojica and Mr. Gnuschke. The seminar was one of the largest live turnouts in Managing IP history with a global audience of over 350 participants.

Research in Motion Limited (RIM).  Mr. Novak is also the sponsor of the Novak Druce Centre for Professional Service Firms at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School.

Lissi Mojica is seen as being among the world's foremost experts in reexamination procedures.  Prior to joining Novak Druce, Ms. Mojica was with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for twenty years and was the first ever director for the Central Reexamination Unit.
