Novak Druce + Quigg LLP Speaks on Patent Reexaminations at a Meeting of the Texas Intellectual Property Law Society at The University of Texas School of Law

Austin, TX: On Monday, Novak Druce + Quigg LLP Associate Andrew Z. Weaver spoke on patent reexaminations and practice tips at a meeting of the Texas Intellectual Property Law Society at The University of Texas School of Law in Austin.
 
Mr. Weaver’s presentation, “Patent Reexamination as a Litigation Strategy,” discussed ways in which reexaminations can influence litigation and how litigation can influence the crafting of reexaminations. Mr. Weaver also offered some practical advice for students interested in becoming involved with reexaminations and answered questions from the students concerning prosecution of reexaminations before the USPTO as available to both patent owners and third party requesters.
 
Mr. Weaver, a native Texan, earned a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Houston Cullen College of Engineering and a JD from The University of Texas School of Law.  He operates out of Novak Druce’s Houston headquarters. Novak Druce attorneys frequently speak on IP issues in Texas and will be speaking next at the Texas Lawyer Corporate Council Summit April 7 in Houston.
