Novak Druce + Quigg LLP speaks on patent reexaminations at Texas Lawyer Corporate Counsel Summit

Dallas, TX: On Wednesday, Novak Druce + Quigg LLP Executive Partner Tracy W. Druce and attorney Suni Sukduang spoke on patent reexaminations during the Texas Lawyer Corporate Counsel Summit in Dallas.

Approximately 50 in-house attorneys and executives from leading Texas companies attended the presentation that included an overview of the reexamination process, a statistical summary of reexamination filing data, and an analysis of reexamination’s impact on litigation. In addition to their presentation, Mr. Druce and Mr. Sukduang fielded numerous questions regarding reexamination practice and procedure.

Novak Druce is one of the first and only firms to have a dedicated team to handle litigation driven reexaminations and has represented both defendants and plaintiffs in nearly 200 reexamination proceedings with notable success.  The Firm has had more claims rejected before the Central Reexamination Unit than any other law firm and currently has a 100% record of requests granted by the United States Patent Office.

Mr. Druce, a native Texan, earned a BS in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University, a MBA from Texas Tech University and a JD from Texas Tech University School of Law. He and Mr. Sukduang operate out of Novak Druce’s Houston headquarters.
